An Exhibition and a Sale

Two of my artworks will be exhibited at Hafren theater, Newtown, during the "Revelation" exhibition held from 28th November 2011 till 27th January 2012.

Two works for this exhibition represent 1) a way which could reveal to a human being some truth about him/herself and ("17th Face, Acrylic, GBP 70) 

and 2) a way in which humanity discovers the truth about the world surrounding it (Survey, Acrylic, SOLD).  

His Last Glimpse of the Sun

Two figures in spacesuits watching a sunset over the hills, mountains, canyons, dunes and plains of Mars. An illustration for an unfinished chapter in my Russian sci-fi novel (http://www.proza.ru/2008/12/10/483). The text on the painting is from my Martian poem (http://stihi.ru/2008/12/05/1270). As the picture has silver and gold paint it is useful to see it under different angles:

The painting is done with acrylic paint and ink, in a hardboard.

Martian colony with a domestic touch. A cat looks out of the window. A couple of astronauts work outside by the domes. The original art is acrylic on canvas.

Another Nebula

A soft pastel abstract painting. It had a bit of story to it. I left it unattended and my son who was quite young at that time had drawn dark brown lines all over the picture. I've got upset first but then managed to incorporate them into the painting... The original (was about A4 in size) is sold.

Orion Nebula Collage by Alexandra Cook
A combination of paper collage, acrylic and oil pastel, inspired by the beautiful flower-like shape of the Orion Nebula. There is a bit of text on some pieces of paper, one says "winter blue". The original artwork was about A3 in size, sold.

Lady Nebula

One of my Hubble-inspired pictures has been sold. Its a fun idea, to see shapes in Nebulae, like some people do in clouds, so I'll try to do more of this in future.
