Sandy beach in Aberdyfi / Aberdovey - the print
A little picturesque village along the beach and on the hillside (nicknamed by kids Balamory), river estuary, white sails and a terrific view. Our favourite beach in the area. The original painting have been done on a warm september day in 2008, during low tide, while kids were busy splashing in shallow warm pools. Quite a lot of beach sand turned out to be incorporated in the picture…
After selling the original picture I played a bit with color to make this print more “impressionist”

Together by the Sea
Together by the Sea (print) by Alexandra Cook: A couple standing on a cliff, looking towards the blue sea. Yellow ferula flower on the foreground. Taken in the spring of 2010 on Malta, near the Red Tower. Overal a very happy picture but there are deep cracks in the rock...

A new Gypsy Mermaid pendant...
Alexandra Cook listed a new item on Etsy: This is a part of my Gypsy Mermaid collection, which is all about uncharted seas, empty beaches, pebbles, driftwood, and even mysterious water-polished remnants of long gone civilizations. Something for an "inner mermaid": original, natural and wild.
I love collecting pebbles and feathers on the beach. This set comes from Mundesley in Norfolk, UK. The thread imitates some exotic seaweed.
The necklace is about 16 inches (40 cm) long, the thread could be made shorter. The weight is about 24 g (3/4 oz).

Will also look great worn on the beach.
